Where to park in Triana and Vegueta

Triana is pedestrianised and Vegueta is a sixteenth-century old town of narrow one-way streets: finding a space on the street there is pure luck. The good news is that both quarters are ringed by covered car parks, and from any of them everything is a few minutes on foot.

Covered car parks

  • Municipal (SAGULPA)

    Mercado de Vegueta

Avenida Alcalde Díaz Saavedra Navarro, 1

Around 210 spaces. The handiest one for the cathedral, Casa de Colón or the market itself.

  • Municipal (SAGULPA)

    Nuevos Juzgados

    Avenida Eufemiano Jurado

The biggest in the area, with around 460 spaces. This is the one to head for when the rest are full.

  • Municipal (SAGULPA)

    San Bernardo

    Calle San Bernardo

The closest to Triana, and the most convenient if you are coming for a pizza.

    San Telmo – Triana

    Parque de San Telmo

Right under the park, in the heart of Triana and next to the bus station.

  • Private

    Monopol

    In the middle of Triana

A couple of streets from Calle Mayor, for when you just want to dump the car and start walking.

We deliberately do not list prices here: they change from time to time — SAGULPA has cut them more than once at the request of Triana and Vegueta shopkeepers — and a stale price on a website is worse than no price at all. The municipal car park rates are always up to date at sagulpa.com.

The paid on-street zone, in four lines

  • Monday to Saturday you pay

Broadly speaking, from nine in the morning to eight in the evening.

  • Sundays and public holidays are free

No meter and no time limit.

  • Two hours maximum

On most bays you cannot stay more than two hours in a row.

  • Pay at the meter or in the app

The SAGULPA app also lets you top up your time without walking back to the car.

The hours have been changed street by street over the last few years. The sign on the street itself is what counts: read it before you walk away from the car.

Four tips from people who live here

  • Come on a Sunday

Free on-street parking, no two-hour limit and much less traffic. By far the best day to drive in.

  • Avoid Thursday night and Saturday morning

Those are the quarter's two rush hours: the Vegueta wine crowd and the market. If you come then, go straight to a covered car park instead of circling.

  • Do not drive into Vegueta looking for a space

Narrow one-way streets with restricted sections. Circling takes longer than parking outside and walking in.

  • Or leave the car at home

San Telmo bus station is in Triana, a short walk from everything on this page, and many city bus routes stop there or at Teatro, right on the edge of the ravine and Vegueta.

While you are parking, pick up dinner

We are at Calle General Bravo 40, a few minutes on foot from any of these car parks. Order on WhatsApp before you park and collect it on your way back to the car.
